Dirham (Bronze, 29 mm, 12.95 g, 1 h), citing the Ayyubid Sultan al-Nasir I Salah al-Din Yusuf (Saladin), AH 580s. Draped bust of a young male or a female facing, wearing a three-pointed crenelated crown and necklace; around, legend in Kufic. Rev. citing al-Nasir I Salah al-Din Yusuf (Saladin) beaded six-pointed star. Spengler & Sayles -. Apparently unpublished and of great interest. Harshly cleaned, otherwise, good very fine.
